Peer Support and Education for Adults

NAMI Racine County peer support programs provide education, skills training and support for people who have a mental illness. Our programs are recovery focused and provided at no cost to participants.

NAMI Racine County education classes promote growth, healing and recovery for individuals living with a mental illness. All of our education classes are led by trained peer facilitators and follow a structured format.

Registration is required for all education classes.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a recovery education course open to any individual living with a serious mental illness. The course consists of 8 two-hour classes designed to encourage growth, healing and recovery among participants. Some of the things participants will learn include how to create a personalized relapse prevention plan, interact with health care providers, develop confidence for making decisions and reducing stress, understand the impacts of symptoms on their life, and access resources to maintain their journey toward recovery.
